Turkish singer Melek Mosso joined a legion of ladies exhibiting their help for the anti-hijab protests in Iran. A video that has now gone viral on social media exhibits the artist chopping her hair on stage in solidarity with the protesters in Iran.

The protests erupted in Iran after the dying of 22-year-old Mahasa Amini, who died after being in detention by morality police imposing strict hijab guidelines on September 17. Ten days after her dying, the protests have now unfold throughout at the very least 46 Iranian cities, cities and villages.

A rights group claimed that over 75 individuals have been killed within the protests amid clashes with safety forces.

Video clips circulating on social media present girls protesters chopping their hair and eradicating their hijab and setting them on hearth to protest towards the strict gown code enforced within the nation.

STRICT DRESS CODE

Under Iran’s sharia, or Islamic legislation, girls over the age of seven are obliged to cowl their hair and put on lengthy, loose-fitting garments. A July 5 order by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to implement the hijab legislation has resulted in a brand new record of restrictions on how girls can gown. Offenders face public rebuke, fines or arrest.
