Turkey set to deport 7 Syrian refugees over banana consuming controversy

7 Syrian refugees are set to be deported from Turkey over a banana controversy. After a Turkish citizen complained that Syrian refugees might afford bananas whereas he can’t, it sparked a large controversy within the aftermath of which the Syrian refugees shall be deported for “provocatively” sharing pictures of themselves consuming bananas.

“You’re living more comfortably. I can’t eat banana, you are buying kilograms of banana,” the Turkish man instructed a Syrian scholar within the video that was captured in Istanbul on the seventeenth of October. Soon, he was joined by a Turkish girl who accused Syrians of residing in extravagant style as a substitute of becoming a member of the combat in Syria.
Soon after, a social media pattern gained momentum with Syrians sharing pictures of themselves consuming bananas in response to the remark.

Subsequently, the movies sparked a response from Turkish extremists on social media who claimed that it was time to “shoot and kill” Syrians.
