Outgoing US President Donald Trump has stated he will not attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration occasion, scheduled to happen on January 20. Taking to Twitter, Donald Trump stated to all of those that have requested, I cannot be going to the Inauguration on January twentieth. This comes after Wednesday’s Capitol Hill violence within the United States when Trump supporters tried Parliament seize, tried to overhaul Presidential election end result.

His transfer is an undercut on his yesterday’s message that he would work to make sure a “smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power” to his successor.

Trump provided no clues for the way he would spent his ultimate hours in workplace and would be the first incumbent president since Andrew Johnson to skip his successor’s swearing-in. Traditionally, the incoming and outgoing presidents trip to the US Capitol collectively for the ceremony, as an emblem of the nation’s peaceable transition.

Trump’s feedback come two days after a violent mob of his supporters occupied the Capitol for a number of hours as lawmakers have been tallying the electoral votes that licensed Biden’s victory. Biden will develop into president at midday on Jan. 20 no matter Trump’s plans.

“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” Trump tweeted.

The transfer had been broadly anticipated, as Trump for months falsely claimed victory within the election and promulgated baseless claims of voter fraud. His personal administration stated the election had been pretty run. Vice President Mike Pence continues to be anticipated to attend the inauguration.

Biden’s transition group had no instant touch upon Trump’s announcement. But Jen Psaki, the president-elect’s incoming White House press secretary, stated final month that whether or not Trump attended the inauguration was not high of thoughts for Biden.
