Tents on the base camp of Mount Manaslu in Nepal have been destroyed in an enormous avalanche. No casualties have been reported.

An enormous avalanche struck the bottom camp of Mount Manaslu in Nepal every week after two individuals, together with an Indian climber, have been killed in the same avalanche. The Nepal authorities had issued over 400 permits to climb Manaslu this yr.

On September 26, at the very least two climbers have been killed and 11 others injured when an avalanche struck them on the base camp of Mt Manaslu. The avalanche struck the route slightly below Camp IV of Mount Manaslu when the climbers have been ferrying logistics to the excessive camps.

Rescue operations are underway and varied helicopter companies are conducting aerial searches.
