A secret letter written by Queen Elizabeth II is hidden in a vault within the Queen Victoria Building in Australia’s Sydney. The letter, which was written in November 1986 and addressed to the folks of Sydney, can solely be opened in 2085.

According to 7NEWS Australia, even the Queen’s private workers is unaware of the contents of the letter as it’s hidden inside a glass case in a restricted space. The mysterious letter was written by the Queen to have fun the restoration of the constructing, which was inbuilt 1898 to have fun the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria the Queen’s great-grandmother.

The Queen wrote directions on the date of opening the letter and addressed it to the Mayor of Sydney. The notice reads, “On a suitable day to be selected by you in the year 2085 AD, would you please open this envelope and convey to the citizens of Sydney my message to them.”

The letter is solely signed, “Elizabeth R”, reported 7NEWS Australia.

Following the Queen’s demise, Sydney’s Opera House was lit as much as pay tribute to the longest reigning monarch of Britain.

Australia on Sunday proclaimed King Charles III as the pinnacle of state, the primary new monarch in 70 years.
