Russian TV presenter given jail time period over name to drown Ukraine kids

By Reuters: Anton Krasovsky, a pro-war Russian TV presenter who known as for Ukrainian kids to be drowned, has been given a five-year jail time period in absentia by a courtroom in Ukraine, officers mentioned on Friday.

Ukraine’s SBU safety service mentioned Krasovsky had been discovered responsible of two fees of calling for genocide and two fees of advocating the overthrow of Ukraine’s constitutional system.

In October, Krasovsky informed state-controlled broadcaster RT that Ukrainian kids who noticed Russians as occupiers beneath the Soviet Union ought to have been “thrown straight into a river with a strong current”. Krasovsky, who has been sanctioned by the European Union, later apologised however was suspended for the remarks.

“Since last February, he publicly supported the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, condoned crimes committed by the racists and called for the genocide of the Ukrainian people,” the SBU introduced in a press release.

“At present the criminal is hiding from justice abroad. SBU employees, though, are aware of his whereabouts and are conducting a number of measures to bring the culprit to justice,” it mentioned.

The SBU didn’t say the place the courtroom was positioned or when it had handed the sentence.
