Rishi Sunak orders ban on this canine breed in UK. Here’s why

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Friday introduced that the American XL bully canines can be banned following a collection of horrific assaults.

“The American XL Bully dogs are a danger to our communities, particularly our children,” Rishi Sunak mentioned, including that he shared “the nation’s horror” over movies of current canine assaults.

“This is not about a handful of badly trained dogs. It’s a pattern of behaviour and it cannot go on,” Rishi Sunak mentioned in a video posted on his official ‘X’ account.

The UK Prime Minister assured the general public that his authorities was urgently engaged on methods to cease these assaults. Rishi Sunak mentioned he has tasked officers to “firstly define the breed of dog behind these attacks with a view of outlawing it”.

“It is not currently a breed defined in law. We will then ban the breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act and new laws will be in place by the end of the place,” PM Rishi Sunak mentioned on Friday.

The announcement got here within the wake of a collection of assaults by the American Bully canine.

Last weekend, a lady was injured by one of many canines in Birmingham. Two males who intervened through the assault had been additionally injured, as per an Associated Press report.
