Pro-Khalistan teams protest exterior UK parliament

By Loveena Tandon: Khalistani supporters gathered exterior the British parliament on Saturday to demand the discharge of absconding separatist chief Amritpal Singh. The demonstration started with about 40 folks and shortly round 100 have been elevating slogans for the discharge of Singh, who’s but to be caught by the police. An enormous search operation is underway in Punjab for his arrest.

Starting from the Parliament sq., which faces the British Parliament, the protestors ended up at 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British prime minister.

Both the places are normally swamped with folks and are a favorite with protestors.

The protestors distributed pamphlets and talked to folks about “suspended internet services in Punjab” and “Amritpal Singh being arrested by police and silenced” amongst different issues.

Meanwhile, in India, pictures of Amritpal Singh in a jacket and sun shades appeared within the media. CCTV footage of him being in Amritsar at one among his relative’s homes is doing the rounds.

At the British Parliament, MP Bob Blackman, on the ground of the parliament, requested: “We are harbouring Khaliatani terrorists in our country right now. So can we have a debate in government time about the actions that can be taken to ensure these terrorists are held to account and banned in this country?”

The authorities condemned the violence on the Indian High Commission and mentioned: “We take the security of the Indian High Commission extremely seriously and we have been in close contact with the government of India on this issue. It will be for the police and the crown prosecution service to determine whether action is needed, involving warrants and criminal proceedings.”

After the March 19 violence on the Indian High Commission, the place home windows have been broken and the Indian Tricolour was pulled down after an individual climbed to the balcony, one individual was arrested, who, sources mentioned, was not the one who scaled the partitions. This individual has been launched on bail by the Metropolitan Police.

As for the protesters, they remained exterior 10 Downing Street till an anti-vaccine protest took over the road connecting parliament to 10 Downing Street and Whitehall, the seat of many authorities places of work.
