PM Narendra Modi meets Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan; focus on methods to deepen bilateral cooperation in various sectors

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Samarkand throughout which they reviewed bilateral relations and mentioned methods to deepen cooperation in various sectors.

The two leaders are within the historic Uzbek metropolis of Samarkand to attend the SCO summit.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated the 2 leaders had “useful discussions” through the assembly.

“Leaders reviewed bilateral relations and appreciated recent gains in bilateral trade. Also exchanged views on regional & global developments,” he tweeted.
