A viral video, apparently from China, confirmed medical employees stopping folks from fleeing throughout the current earthquake in China.

People gathered to depart a constructing in China throughout the current earthquake.

China is strictly following the ‘zero-Covid’ coverage of continually monitoring, testing and isolating its residents to stop the unfold of the coronavirus. However, a current video confirmed folks weren’t allowed to depart their buildings throughout a 6.6 magnitude earthquake as a result of strict guidelines.

India Today couldn’t independently confirm the authenticity of the video. However, a number of Chinese Twitter handles shared the video criticising the strict measures even throughout the earthquake.

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck China’s Sichuan province on Monday, the strongest to hit the area since 2017, killing at the least 21 folks and shaking the provincial capital of Chengdu and extra distant provinces.

The epicentre was on the city of Luding, the China Earthquake Networks Centre mentioned, within the mountains about 226 km southwest of Chengdu.

Earthquakes are frequent within the southwestern province of Sichuan, particularly in its mountains within the west, a tectonically lively space alongside the japanese boundary of the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau.
