By India Today World Desk: In a bid to accentuate its Western media crackdown, North Korea has now threatened to jail mother and father if their youngsters are caught watching Hollywood movies and TV programmes.

The mother and father of a son or a daughter discovered watching a Hollywood or South Korean film will find yourself spending six months languishing in a compelled labour camp. But the youngsters who watched it face an unthinkable five-year sentence, the Mirror reported.

Previously, mother and father discovered responsible of the ‘crime’ may escape with a stern warning.

As per a Mirror report, sources contained in the Hermit Kingdom say Pyongyang has rolled out “Inminban” – a obligatory neighbourhood watch assembly during which the regime’s orders trickle all the way down to communities.

Anyone discovered performing ‘like a South Korean’ may also be slapped with a six-month time period, as will their mother and father.
