By India Today Web Desk: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the ‘dastardly assassination’ try on Pakistan’s envoy in Afghanistan’s Kabul. Confirming the incident, Sharif lauded the safety guard who ‘took a bullet’ to avoid wasting Pakistan’s Head of Mission’s life.

Taking to Twitter, the Pakistan PM ‘demanded’ a probe towards perpetrators. So far, the well being situation of the safety personnel is unknown and it’s being stated that the Pakistan envoy safely escaped the assault.

He wrote, “I strongly condemn dastardly assassination attempt on Pakistan’s Head of Mission, Kabul. Salute to brave security guard, who took bullet to save his life. Prayers for the swift recovery of security guard. I demand immediate investigation and action against perpetrators of this heinous act.”
