Pak boy, 12, set on fireplace by father for not doing homework, dies

A Pakistani man allegedly set on fireplace his 12-year-old son for not doing homework, in line with a media report on Tuesday.

The incident came about on September 14 when the daddy, Nazeer, poured kerosene oil on his son, Shaheer, and set him on fireplace of their Orangi Town home, the Dawn News reported. The father was arrested and a case was registered in opposition to him on the criticism of the boy’s mom.

The boy, who suffered essential burn wounds, died throughout therapy in an area hospital.

He was produced earlier than a judicial Justice of the Peace on Monday and the courtroom remanded him in police custody until September 24.

During an preliminary probe, Nazeer informed investigators that he didn’t intend to kill his son. He mentioned he had sprinkled kerosene oil on him simply to scare him as he was not doing his faculty homework. He mentioned he had simply lit a match to frighten the boy, however the oil caught fireplace and he obtained burnt badly.
