Pak Army says defence finances for 2022-23 decreases from 2.8% of the GDP to 2.2% By Sajjad Hussain

The Pakistan military on Tuesday stated opposite to public notion, the defence finances for the 2022-23 has decreased from 2.8 per cent of the GDP to 2.2 per cent.

In an interview with Dunya News TV, military spokesperson Major General Babar Iftikhar stated individuals typically speak concerning the defence finances however “within the limited resources we are fulfilling all the responsibilities while India has always increased the defence budget”.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Friday allotted Rs 1,523 billion for defence, which makes up 17.5 per cent of the whole present expenditure and is 11.16 per cent greater than final 12 months.
