New York Times names Joseph Kahn government editor

The New York Times Co named Joseph Kahn government editor on Tuesday, because it pursues a digital- and subscription-focused technique that has been bolstered by acquisitions lately. Kahn, has been the Times’ managing editor – the second-ranking title within the newsroom – since September 2016. He succeeds Dean Baquet.

Baquet, 65 has been government editor since 2014.
