Nepal detects first two instances of Omicron variant: Health ministry

Nepal has detected its first two instances of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the well being ministry stated on Monday.
A 66-year-old foreigner, who had entered Nepal from a rustic with confirmed Omicron variant on November 19, and one other 71-year-old one that was in shut contact with him examined constructive for Omicron on Sunday, the ministry stated in an announcement. It didn’t determine their nationalities.
“Both of them are in isolation and getting healthcare under the supervision of health workers,” the assertion stated.

Nepal lately banned travellers from eight African international locations and Hong Kong over fears in regards to the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
