NATO fears Russia would possibly hit its submarine cables in European Union

By India Today World Desk: Non-Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) chief has alleged that Russia has been on the brink of launch an offensive at NATO’s submarine cables inside the European Union.

The bloc’s assistant secretary primary for intelligence and security, David Cutler, talked about that Russia is mapping very important allied infrastructure every on land and underwater.

“This is how Moscow is preparing for strikes against submarine targets in Europe and North America. Russian military and special services take part in the operation,” he claimed.

“Russia is preparing for an attack on NATO’s submarine infrastructure. For this purpose, the Russian leadership is studying the alliance’s underwater systems”, David Cutler was quoted as saying by Bloomberg.

Cutler claimed that that’s how Russia fights inside the early phases of the battle, the place it targets to destroy very important infrastructure.
