By India Today Web Desk: Teams from all over the world are racing in opposition to time to rescue any survivors after a sequence of earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria on Monday. Several heartwarming tales of survival have emerged from the area that’s seeing huge dying, destruction and ruins.

One such story of endurance is of a boy who was pulled out of the rubble in Syria.

A video shared by The White Helmets – a volunteer organisation working in Syria – shared the video and wrote: “Miracles are repeated and voices embrace the sky again. Moments filled with joy as the child Karam was rescued from the ruins of a destroyed house in the village of Armanaz in the countryside of #Idlib, #Syria on the first day of the #earthquake.”

The little over a minute clip confirmed Karam being rescued from the particles of a destroyed home in Syria’s Idlib. The boy beams as he’s pulled out of the rubble by rescue employees, who cheer him on. Once out, Karam performs together with his rescuers, pulling their cheeks and laughing with them.

The dying depend within the area has crossed 16,000 after one of many deadliest quakes of the century hit on Monday morning.
