King Charles can be formally proclaimed Britain’s new monarch at a gathering of the Accession Council at St James’s Palace on Saturday, Buckingham Palace stated.

The 0900 GMT Council assembly, which has two elements, proclaims the brand new sovereign and see the King signal an oath to uphold the safety of the Church in Scotland.

Following the assembly, there would be the Principal Proclamation at 1000 GMT from the balcony overlooking Friary Court at St James’s Palace, with different bulletins of the brand new monarch made throughout the United Kingdom and within the City of London.
