Former Indian envoy to Russia, Ambassador D Bala Venkatesh Varma said, “It’s a winter stalemate; it’s too early to say how the stalemate can be tilted someway. Now, it seems that Russia is simply too weak to win and Ukraine is simply too robust to lose. Only when this example adjustments will prospects for a ceasefire and a peace settlement come up.”
