Indian climber Baljeet Kaur was amongst 12 climbers who have been injured when an avalanche struck them on the base camp of Mt. Manaslu in Nepal on Monday, in line with media reviews.

Out of the 12 mountaineers, three have been critically injured, The Himalayan Times newspaper reported.

The Department of Tourism confirmed that the avalanche hit at 11:30 am on Monday.

Sources instructed native media that Sherpa climbers from Seven Summit Treks, Satori Adventure, Imagine Nepal Treks, Elite Expedition, and 8K Expeditions, amongst others, have been injured.

Pemba Sherpa from 8K Expedition stated Indian climber Kaur and her Sherpa information each suffered minor accidents and have been secure, the report stated.

The Tourism Department is but to determine contact with the officers on the incident website, The Kathmandu Post newspaper reported, quoting the Director of the division.

The avalanche struck the route slightly below Camp IV of Mount Manaslu when the climbers have been ferrying logistics to the excessive camps.

Rescue operations are underway and varied helicopter providers are conducting aerial searches.

Government official for expeditions on Mt. Manaslu Yashoda Acharya stated that unhealthy climate circumstances at Mt. Manaslu Base Camp have been hindering rescue efforts.

Mt. Manaslu, the world’s eighth highest mountain and regarded the fifth most harmful peak, has claimed 53 lives of mountaineers from 297 makes an attempt, in line with Australian web site 9News.com.
