Financial guide Niraj Shah says that Russian firms and huge enterprises at the moment are seeking to make India the large enterprise and manufacturing hub to insulate their investments.

“If you talk about GDP, the estimate is a drop of 10%. But, if you look at the country’s per capita GDP, Russians have the capacity to absorb this. People will suffer, but I see that they are ready. For the long term, they are looking at Make in Russia and also looking at the Make in India projects,” stated Niraj Shah.

While Indian firms are trying on the Russian market, the Rupee-Ruble transaction has not been easy in any respect.

“It is going to take many more months for this to come on track. We are not expecting anything to happen so soon. Four months have passed and uncertainty continues,” stated Katwani.
