While answering the question of a member inside the British Parliament, Rishi Sunak said, “The UK has a longstanding and close relationship with Pakistan and we are commonwealth partners. The arrest of the former prime minister of Pakistan is an internal matter of Pakistan.”

“We support peaceful, democratic processes and adherence to the rule of law. We are monitoring the situation carefully,” he added.
