An explosion was heard in Afghanistan’s Kabul metropolis. So far, casualties stay unknown and safety forces have reached the blast website.

In Afghanistan, an explosion was reported close to Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan Grand Mosque in Kabul province. As per the inside ministry’s Abdul Nafi Takoor, the blast occurred when worshippers had been exiting the mosque premises after providing prayers on Friday. Shortly after the explosion was heard, Taliban-led safety forces reached the location.

Casualties stay unknown to this point, information company Tolo News reported.

“The witnesses of the incident said that the ambulances have transferred the injured from the explosion in front of the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Mosque to the Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital from the hospitals near the place of the incident,” Tolo News shared.

The blast surfaced two days after three civilians had been killed and 13 others sustained accidents after an explosion in Afghanistan’s capital metropolis. According to Khalid Zadran, the Taliban-appointed spokesman for the Kabul police chief, the blast occurred in a restaurant within the metropolis’s western Dehmazang neighbourhood.
