China keen to purchase canines and donkeys from cash-strapped Pakistan

In a significant aid to a cash-starved Pakistan, China has provided to import canines and donkeys from the nation, reported ARY News. The improvement was confirmed by the Senate Standing Committee on Commerce to Pakistan’s Commerce Ministry on Monday (October 3).

ARY News reported that the Committee members met in Islamabad, throughout which Chairman Zeeshan Khanzada was briefed about imports and exports. A member of the Committee, Dinesh Kumar, knowledgeable that China has expressed curiosity within the nation’s canines and donkeys.

On listening to this, Senator Abdul Qadir recollected that the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan had held discussions, on a number of events, about importing meat from the nation.

In 2017, it was reported that China was confronted with a scarcity of donkeys. But within the subsequent 12 months, Pakistan broke ranks to emerge because the nation with the third largest donkey inhabitants.

China reportedly had the world’s largest donkey herd till about 3 a long time in the past. However, the rising demand for E’jiao noticed most donkeys in China being skinned and boiled, and it now faces an acute donkey scarcity.

Donkeys are used extensively for transportation in Pakistan. They are a part of the native tradition, with donkey cart races being a well-liked sport.
