SCO SUMMIT 2022

The SCO is holding its first in-person summit in Samarkand in Uzbekistan after two years. The summit is being held over a span of two days from September 15 to 16.

The summit has been separated into two periods—one restricted session which is barely meant for the SCO member states, and an prolonged session for the observers and the particular invitees of the chair nation.

Launched in Shanghai in June 2001, the SCO has eight full members, together with its six founding members; China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan joined as full members in 2017.
