Afghanistan: Mullah Baradar refutes studies of clashes inside Taliban, seems in interview to show he’s alive and unhurt

The media was abuzz with studies of inner clashes inside the Taliban between rival factions. Considering that Mullah Baradar was final seen on September 05 at a gathering with UN consultant Martin Griffiths, a number of studies even suspected that the Taliban high chief was both injured or killed within the conflict.

The controversy erupted after sure media homes reported a spat between Baradar and Refugees Minister Khalil ur-Rahman Haqqani on the Presidential Palace in Kabul. Allegedly Baradar rushed for Kandahar to satisfy the Taliban’s supreme chief Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada.

The Haqqani Network is carefully related to al-Qaeda and is now part of the Taliban-led Afghan authorities. Primarily based mostly in Pakistan, it’s now being led by Afghanistan’s Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.
