There are reportedly round 1000 Sikhs and Hindus left in Afghanistan. A bunch of 11 Sikhs had arrived in India from Afghanistan together with Sikh chief Nidan Singh Sachdeva who was kidnapped by Islamists, after the enactment of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The authorities of India facilitated their arrival to India, searching for everlasting residency and ultimately citizenship.
