4.8 magnitude earthquake hits Pakistan’s Islamabad, no casualty reported

In the wee hours of Tuesday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 hit Pakistan’s Islamabad. The depth of the earthquake was 120 km beneath the bottom and no casualty was reported.

By India Today Web Desk: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on the Richter Scale hit Pakistan’s Islamabad metropolis within the wee hours of Tuesday. No casualties or harm to property was reported due within the incident.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors of the earthquake had been felt 303 km northwest of Islamabad. The depth of the earthquake was 120 km beneath the bottom, it stated.

The epicenter, with a depth of 120 km was decided to be at 36.17 levels north latitude and 71.68 levels east longitude.

“An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred 303km NNW of Islamabad, Pakistan today around 1:15am. The depth of the earthquake was 120 km below the ground,” the National Center for Seismology stated in a tweet.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) is the nodal company of the Government of India for monitoring of earthquake exercise within the nation.
