Farzana Sultana, assistant meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, knowledgeable India Today that the quake’s origin was in Dohar near Dhaka.

“Due to the shallow depth of the earthquake, the shaking was more. The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.3. The origin of this earthquake is on the southeast south side of the meteorological centre. It is a mild type of earthquake,” the official said.
