3.2 tonnes of cocaine, sufficient to produce marketplace for 30 years, discovered floating at sea in New Zealand

Authorities in New Zealand have recovered 3.2 tonnes of cocaine floating on the sea. The medication have been collected from the Pacific Ocean. No arrests have thus far been made within the case.

By India Today Web Desk: Cocaine price greater than $300 million has been discovered floating at sea in New Zealand. According to the native authorities, the recovered cocaine weighs 3.2 tonnes.

The medication have been collected from the Pacific Ocean in a joint operation by the New Zealand Police, the customs service and the New Zealand Defence Force.

No arrests have thus far been made within the case.

According to Police Commissioner Andy Coster, 3.2 tonnes of cocaine seized was sufficient to produce the New Zealand marketplace for 30 years.

Commenting on the incident, Police Commissioner Andrew Coster mentioned, “This is one of the single biggest seizures of illegal drugs by authorities in this country.”

“While this disrupts the syndicate’s operations, we remain vigilant given the lengths we know these groups will go to circumvent coming to law enforcement’s attention,” he was quoted by Reuters as saying.
