Twenty-seven folks have been killed in a bus crash in southwest China on Sunday, police mentioned, within the nation’s deadliest street accident to date this 12 months.

The crash occurred on a freeway in rural Guizhou province when the car carrying 47 folks in complete “flipped onto its side”, police mentioned in a press release revealed on social media.

The remaining 20 folks have been being handled for accidents and emergency responders have been dispatched to the scene, police mentioned, with out offering any extra particulars.

The accident occurred in Qiannan prefecture — a poor, distant and mountainous a part of Guizhou, house to a number of ethnic minorities.

In June, a driver was killed after a high-speed practice derailed in Guizhou province.

And in March, a Chinese passenger jet crash killed all 132 folks on board, marking the deadliest aviation accident to happen in China for many years.
