At least one individual was killed and 12 others injured on Tuesday when police opened hearth to disperse anti-government protestors in Sri Lanka’s southwestern area of Rambukkana.

The residents have been protesting the most recent gasoline value hike once they clashed with the police.

Police mentioned the protesters had blocked the railway monitor at Rambukkana and began pelting stones at them.

Police Spokesperson Nihal Thalduwa mentioned with a view to management the state of affairs police opened hearth and several other individuals have been injured.

At least 12 individuals have been admitted to the Kegalle hospital, 4 of them have been important, police mentioned.
