Earlier this year Vivo introduced 120W Super Flash Fast charging technology that the company claims charges phone with 4000mAh battery in just 13 minutes. It won’t be wrong to say that Xiaomi introduces the 100W super charge turbo tech to take on Vivo’s 120W fast charging technology. In addition to Vivo, some other companies like Oppo and Realme also launched 65W and 50W fast charging technology, respectively. The Realme X2 Pro comes with 50W charging technology. The phone is launching in India today.

In the demo video, Xiaomi shows how fast the 100W charging technology chargers phone with 4000mAh battery. The company claims that the 100W super charge turbo tech takes around 17 min to fully charge a 4,000mAh battery smartphone. For instance, Xiaomi’s fast charging technology will be able to charge phones like Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 7 series, Redmi K20 series in under 20 min.

Xiaomi explains that the 100W supercharge turbo tech comes with a high-voltage charge pump bundled with 9-fold charge protection. The company further says that the out of the 9-fold protection, 7 are for the motherboard while the 2-fold protection is for the battery.

Notably, for now, Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the name of smartphones that will come with the 100W super charge turbo tech. Most likely Xiaomi flagships launching next year will come with this technology.
