Twitter customers can now use a bodily safety key to log-in their account

Washington: Twitter had introduced a brand new safety key function within the month of March. The micro-blogging website has now rolled out the function for customers who would need to rely extra on bodily safety than a typical two-factor authentication.

Earlier, a safety key might be used as one of many two-factor authentication course of. Now, the person has a option to go all out and simply use the safety key. The new function has been rolled out on each cellular and net.

On Twitter’s official weblog, it’s said, “While any form of 2FA is better than no 2FA, physical security keys are the most effective. Security keys are small devices that act like keys to your house. Just as you need a physical key to unlock the door to your home, you need a security key to unlock access to your account. Security keys offer the strongest protection for your Twitter account because they have built-in protections to ensure that even if a key is used on a phishing site, the information shared can’t be used to access your account.”

The safety keys use the FIDO and WebAuthn safety requirements to switch the burden of defending in opposition to phishing makes an attempt from a human to a {hardware} gadget.
