India has over 1.2 bn cell phone customers: I&B ministry

NEW DELHI : Ministry of Information and Broadcasting secretary Apurva Chandra on Wednesday mentioned that India has over 1.2 billion cell phone customers and 600 million good telephone customers. 

“Along with very low knowledge charges, this penetration of good telephones has resulted in customers consuming excessive quantity of knowledge and leisure through cell units,” Ministry of Information & Broadcasting mentioned in a press release quoting Apurva Chandra as saying.

Social media has induced quicker and deeper percolation of knowledge in India, to the impact that this has even diminished the lack of lives in pure calamities. The Secretary was talking on the first World Media Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Apurva Chandra congratulated the United Arab Emirates for holding the primary ever such Congress. He additional added that the India has loads in frequent with the host nation.
