Amazon will host Small Business Day on December 12

Amazon India, the leading company in the e-commerce sector, said on Sunday that it will host the fourth edition of Small Business Day on December 12. SBD will start from midnight of 12 December 2020 and will run till 11:59 pm that day.

Small Business Day is a specially designed online event where customers will get a chance to shop from startups, women entrepreneurs, artists and weavers, local shopkeepers. The company said in a statement that the objective of this initiative is to help these small businesses, so that their business can keep pace.

Amazon is offering 10 percent cashback on digital payments to customers to encourage purchases from small and micro businesses. Apart from this, Amazon has tied up with ICICI Bank, under which 10 percent discount will be given on debit and credit card payments. Apart from this, special discounts are also being offered to customers who make bulk purchases during SBD.

At the same time, Amazon announced the launch of Toy Hackathonchallenge on 3 December to bring innovation in Toy Technology and support Honorable Prime Minister’s self-reliant India Mission. Toy Hackathon will provide a platform for young innovators from top institutions across the country to come together and design toys for children using educational tools, focusing on education, entertainment and co-participation.
