Bhubaneswar: Farmers from Western Odisha who had launched Ulgulan Revolt Rally from Sambalpur on February 28 to protest ‘anti-farmer’ payments of the Centre reached Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
As per experiences, greater than 250 farmers from a number of western Odisha districts below the banner of Paschim Odisha Krushak Sangathan Samanway Samiti (POKSSS) reached Bhubaneswar on Tuesday and took out a motorcycle rally at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar displaying solidarity with the protesting farmers at Delhi border.
Some of their main calls for included, rollback of farm legal guidelines by the Centre and making MSP for agro merchandise a regulation.
Speaking to the media, a farmer chief, Lingaraj mentioned, “The purpose of this Ulgulan Rally is to put pressure on the government to take back the farm laws.”
