WATCH: 7 Persons Rescued After Boat Develops Technical Snag In Odisha Reservoir

Nabarangpur: At least seven individuals had a detailed shave after the country-made boat they have been crusing on developed technical snag in the midst of Indravati Reservoir at Thuamul Rampur in Kalahandi district.
As per experiences, all of the occupants of the boat acquired stranded for a number of hours after the boat developed the technical snag. All the individuals from Bijraguda village have been reportedly travelling to Uparpanga village within the motorised boat to attend a hoop ceremony when it developed some snag on Wednesday.
After being stranded for lengthy, all of the individuals have been rescued by an 108 Ambulance boat.
“All of us were stranded in the middle of the reservoir. We had almost lost hope of returning to shore as we could not see any other boat in the reservoir. However, we were lucky to return safely after one Ambulance boat spotted us and rescued,” mentioned one of many rescued individuals.

Sources mentioned the Ambulance boat was passing by means of the reservoir from Bajraguda in Nabarangpur district. After listening to the SOS name from the stranded individuals, employees of the Ambulance boat rescued them.
“Several persons are risking their lives to cross the reservoir as there are no safety jackets and other articles in such boats,” mentioned an area.
The 108 Ambulance boat driver mentioned, “We were on our way to bring a patient when we noticed some people waiving hands and pleading for help. Without wasting much time, we rushed to the spot and rescued all the persons.”
