Regarding the video, UP's Barabanki MP Upendra Singh Rawat said that it is fake and I will not contest elections until I am proven innocent.

BJP had given him ticket from Barabanki this time also. But Rawat has withdrawn his claim. Upendra Singh Rawat said that he will not contest the elections until he gets a clean chit. In the viral video, a woman is seen in an objectionable position and MP Upendra Rawat is seen sitting next to her. However, this obscene video has been called fake and edited by BJP MP Upendra Singh Rawat. Rawat has lodged a complaint with the police regarding this matter. After which the police have registered an FIR and are further investigating the matter.

Rawat says that this is a video made by AI and requests National President Nadda to get it investigated. Rawat said that he will not contest any election until he is proven innocent. Upendra Singh Rawat wrote while tweeting, an edited video of mine is being viral which is generated by deepfake AI technology, for which I have lodged an FIR, in this regard I have requested the National President to get it investigated. I will not contest any election in public life until I am proven innocent.
