Prophet Muhammad Row: 415 arrested to date in violence after remarks on Prophet, 20 FIR registered

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Police has to date registered 20 FIRs and arrested 421 individuals in reference to violent incidents towards Prophet Mohammad for alleged objectionable remarks by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and expelled former media in-charge Naveen Jindal from Delhi BJP. has finished. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar mentioned on Sunday {that a} whole of 421 accused have been arrested in reference to the June 3 and June 10 violence by registering 20 FIRs in ten districts. Kumar mentioned {that a} whole of 103 individuals have been arrested in Prayagraj in most seven instances.

Prashant Kumar mentioned that three FIRs every have been registered in Kanpur Police Commissionerate and Saharanpur and one every in Firozabad, Aligarh, Hathras, Moradabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Kheri and Jalaun districts.

In the case of violence, 85 accused have been arrested in Saharanpur, 58 in Kanpur, 41 in Ambedkarnagar, 40 in Moradabad, 35 in Hathras, 20 in Firozabad, eight in Kheri, six in Aligarh and 5 in Jalaun. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had taken cognizance of the violence that befell in Kanpur district on June 3 and the following incidents of violence that broke out after Friday prayers in varied districts and directed the police and administrative officers to proceed the motion towards the miscreants.
