This ‘love’ blinds! Kerala youth loses imaginative and prescient in a single eye in an acid assault by spurned girl

MUNNAR: The Adimali police have arrested a lady who smeared acid on the face of a youth who allegedly rejected her proposal to marry her.

The youth, Arunkumar, 27, a local of Poojapura in Thiruvananthapuram has misplaced imaginative and prescient in a single eye and is recuperating at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

The incident occurred in entrance of St Antony’s Church at Irumpupalam close to Adimali in Idukki district on November 16. The Adimali police arrested, Sheeba, 35, a resident of Padikkath close to Valara in Adimali on Saturday night.

According to Adimali sub-inspector Mohammed Khani, Sheeba was working as a house nurse within the Thiruvananthapuram district when she grew to become acquainted with Arunkumar on social media.

Sheeba’s husband Santhosh is a home painter and he or she has two kids. According to Arunkumar, Sheeba wished him to marry her. As she got here to know that Arunkumar was planning to marry one other girl, she invited him to Adimali and smeared acid on his face. She used formic acid, used for coagulating rubber latex, for the assault.
