Sambalpur: Jamankira LAMPS MD arrested by Vigilance for DA price Rs. 1.53 cr

Sambalpur: The Managing Director of Jamankira LAMPS (Large Area Multi-Purpose Societies) in Sambalpur district was arrested by Odisha Vigilance right this moment. He is being forwarded to the Court of Special Judge Vigilance, Sambalpur for possession of disproportionate property price Rs.1,53,01,430/-, which he might account for satisfactorily.
The accused has been recognized as Fanindra Kumar Sahu.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance P.S. Case No.43 dt.4.12.2021 has been registered in opposition to Sahu and his partner U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/12 Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act-2018.
On the allegation of possession of property disproportionate to the identified sources of earnings by Sahu simultaneous home searches had been carried out at 5 locations yesterday by 5 groups of Odisha Vigilance led by 3 DSsP, 4 Inspectors, 4 ASIs and different workers on the power of Search Warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
After thorough search, stock and additional enquiry, the earnings, expenditure and property of Fanindra Kumar Sahu had been calculated and he was present in possession of property disproportionate to the identified sources of earnings to the tune of Rs.1, 53, 01,430/- (Rupees One Crore Fiftythree Lakh One Thousand Four Hundred Thirty) which constituted 270% of his identified sources of earnings.
Investigation of the case is in progress.

Similarly, in one other case, throughout simultaneous home searches launched on the properties of Jayant Kumar Das, Assistant Civil Supplies Officer, Nayagarh property price over Rs 2.31 crore unearthed.
On the allegation of possession of property disproportionate to the identified sources of earnings, simultaneous home searches have been launched right this moment on the properties of Das at 5 locations.
During the home searches, 1 4 storeyed constructing at Lenkudipada, Dist-Nayagarh, 2 nos of double storeyed buildings at Odagaon, Dist-Nayagarh, 9 nos of plots together with 1 plot at Bhubaneswar and different 8 plots in Nayagarh district, 1 4 wheeler, 3 nos of two wheelers, Bank and Postal deposits over Rs.9.30 Lakh, Insurance deposits over Rs.8.64 Lakh, gold and silver ornaments price over Rs.4.92 Lakh, money of Rs.2,74,075/- and different movable and immovable properties, all totalling to over Rs 2.31 Crore have been unearthed throughout the home search to date.
Further searches are persevering with.
