Sabarimala temple opened for Onam competition

SABARIMALA: Sabarimala temple was opened on Sunday for the four-day Onam competition celebration. Melsanthi Jayaraman Nampoothiri opened the sreekovil at 5pm within the presence of thantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanaru. 

No ritual was carried out on the sreekovil within the night as a part of the continuing apply. Restriction on the variety of devotees for darshan was lifted through the competition days. Devotees might be supplied Onam feast on all 4 days of the competition starting on Monday, mentioned Sabarimala devaswom government officer Krishnakumar. The temple might be closed on August 31.
