Puri: Lineman in Bharatipur part from Pipili in Vigilance web

Puri: Tightening the noose across the neck of corrupt officers the Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested the Lineman-C, of the workplace of the Junior Manager (Electrical) in Bharatipur part of Pipili Sub-division in Puri district.

The accused has been recognized as Manas Ranjan Sahoo.

As per reviews, right now Manas Ranjan Sahoo, Lineman-C, workplace of Junior Manager (Electrical), Bharatipur Section, Pipili Sub-Division, Dist-Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for demanding and accepting undue benefit (bribe) of Rs.7,500/- (Rupees Seven Thousand Five Hundred) from a complainant to furnish feasibility report for brand new electrical connection to the poultry farm of his relative.

Based on the above criticism, a lure was laid whereby the accused caught by the crew of Odisha Vigilance close to the Electric workplace, Bharatipur Section whereas demanding the bribe from the complainant.

The whole bribe cash was recovered from his possession and seized. Both palms wash in addition to pant pocket wash of Sahoo gave optimistic chemical response, confirming acceptance and dealing with of bribe cash by him.

Following the lure, search has been launched on the residential home of Sahoo at village Taraboi, PS-Jatni, Dist-Khurdha. Accused Manas Ranjan Sahoo, Lineman-C has been arrested and shall be forwarded to the Court.

In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case No.43 dated 22.12.2022 U/s 7 PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered and the case is beneath investigation.
