THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Special Branch has reported that a few of the Police Association members leaning in the direction of the CPM have been pressuring the cops to forged their postal votes for Left candidates.

The state police chief had earlier warned cops to not affect those that arrive for casting their postal votes.

In the earlier elections there have been widespread allegations that a few of the affiliation members had collected the postal votes of policemen and forged their votes all by themselves.

However, this time round too, there was no let-up within the complaints although the postal voting cubicles have been arrange in respective locations.

The Special Branch reported that the office-bearers and left-leaning cops waited outdoors the cubicles and dictated to the voters whom to vote for.

The incidents have been reported in Thiruvananthapuram rural, Kollam and Kozhikode districts.

Though these incidents have been delivered to the eye of the District Superintendents, no motion has been taken to this point, sources stated.
