CUTTACK: Uproar marked the second council assembly of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Friday as opposition Congress and BJP corporators exchanged phrases with their BJD counterparts over numerous civic points.
The opposition corporators blamed the Odisha Water Supply and Sewerage Board (OWSSB) for clogged drains, unhealthy roads, mosquito menace, unhygienic circumstances and irregularities in strong waste administration within the metropolis.
The ruling occasion corporators opposed them. Mayor Subhas Singh mentioned CMC officers have been instructed to finish drain desilting work by June 15.
