Pilot examine on seaside litter air pollution launched

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Secretary-cum-Chairman, State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Suresh Chandra Mahapatra launched a e-book titled ‘A Pilot Study on Beach Litter Pollution: Paradeep 2019-20’, on Monday. It has been printed by SPCB.

Launching the amount Mahapatra mentioned that the publication would pave strategy to cowl different potential seashores within the State with an purpose to guard our pristine shoreline from contamination with polyaromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals and micro plastic. He mentioned that such an effort underneath Integrated Coastal Zone Management Programme (ICZMP) would pave approach for extra publications.

Mahapatra congratulated the authors for the methodological evaluation and helpful consequence of the amount. The e-book was launched within the presence of Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Mona Sharma; Director, FE&CC Susanta Nanda; and Member Secretary, SPCB, Ok Murugesan.

The e-book is authored by Murugesan, N Mallick, SS Pati, SD Sharma, BS Panda, S Mishra, S Nayak, B Sarangi and SK Mohanty shared their findings of the pilot examine. First of its type within the nation on seaside litter air pollution alongside the coast of commercial city of Paradip, it measures possible impacts and their administration.
