Orissa High Court directs CMC to take motion on Cuttack deer inhabitants

CUTTACK: The Orissa High Court has directed the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) to move inside three months acceptable order on a illustration on overpopulation of deer within the civic physique’s park in Madhusudan Nagar space on Mahanadi riverbanks.

Overpopulation on the deer park has been an unresolved concern ever because the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) flagged it in 2009 and requested the civic physique to relocate the surplus animals. While the CZA had cancelled recognition to the deer park a number of instances and renewed it on CMC’s enchantment for grant of extra time to cope with the surplus animals, the civic physique had deliberate a second deer park within the metropolis.
