Odisha govt hikes remuneration for folks artistes in state

BHUBANESWAR: In a major step, the Odisha authorities on Saturday elevated the remuneration of conventional people artistes. Announcing this, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik mentioned the improved remuneration will likely be relevant for the folks artists performing consciousness programmes organised by the division of Information and Public Relations.

The chief minister has directed authorities involved to extend the remuneration of artistes for promotion of assorted people arts like Daskathia, Pala, Ghoda Nacha and different types of people dance and music. As per the choice, enhanced remuneration will likely be offered to every people artiste for 3 performances three hours a day. While the workforce chief will likely be paid Rs 1,000, the opposite members will get Rs 800 every.
